Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using The Hive ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

The Hive is a creator-services platform that helps brands plan, produce, edit, and publish social content. We provide workspace tools, AI assistance, and (where you connect your accounts) direct publishing to third-party social platforms.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

  • You are responsible for all activity in your workspace, including the actions of users you invite.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Publish content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or that infringes third-party intellectual property.

  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

  • Send spam, conduct automated mass-posting, or violate the terms of any connected social platform.

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service.

5. Connected social accounts

When you link a third-party platform (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn) you authorize The Hive to publish, read, and manage content on your behalf strictly within the scopes you grant. You may revoke this access at any time from Settings → Connected Social Accounts or from the platform's own security settings.

You remain solely responsible for the content you publish through the Service and for compliance with each platform's own terms (including, where applicable, the YouTube Terms of Service, the Meta Platform Terms, the TikTok Developer Terms, and the LinkedIn API Terms).

6. AI features

The Service includes AI-generated suggestions (captions, hashtags, thumbnails, posting times). These are suggestions only. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before publishing. We do not guarantee that AI output is accurate, lawful, or fit for any particular purpose.

7. Your content

You retain all rights to the content you upload. You grant The Hive a limited license to store, process, transmit, and publish that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service for you.

8. Fees and billing

Paid subscription tiers are billed monthly or annually as selected. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or pose a security risk. On termination, your workspace data and OAuth tokens are deleted within 30 days.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, that publishing to third-party platforms will always succeed, or that AI suggestions will be accurate.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced by email and in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect.
